In an daring move to enhance public engagement with renewable energies, Citizenergy's Boa Energia wrote an open letter to Elon Musk of Tesla, suggesting he turn to crowdfunding to finance at least a portion of the new Gigafactory Tesla is planning Europe. Portugal has been in the running as a potential location for this new European factory and the idea has attracted massive levels of support accross the country. The letter mentions Citizenergy as "Europe’s first aggregator of clean energy investment platforms" featuring numerous platforms specialized in crowdfunding sustainable energy projects. We wish Boa Energia and all of Portugal the best of luck in not only attracting Telsa, but getting Telsa to "let the crowd in"!
