Monnow Valley CHP is raising money through a Debenture on Abundance to install up to 10 Combined Heat & Power units and two biomass boilers in Herefordshire. Once constructed, the units will supply electricity to a neighbouring business park and become eligible for government subsidies. Monnow Valley CHP will be provided with woodchip by a local supplier. The electricity generated on site will be used by the 15 other tenants of the business park and the heat generated will be used by the biomass business to dry woodchip to supply to the CHP units but also to other local demand for good quality biomass.
