Coopérnico's first PV projects were launched with the support of 3 European RESCoops, that have provided above 85% of the funding needed, even before Coopérnico existed. Two years later, with a consolidated cooperative activity both in production and supply of green electricity - 215 kW installed in 6 projects and over 250 cooperatives members - Coopérnico has payed back to the initial investors and raise its own projects!

Coopérnico is a Portuguese renewable energy cooperative, the first in Portugal, that combines its sustainability oriented and social nature with the support of solidarity, education and environmental protection projects. First created as a collective sustainable energy investment in 2013, Coopernico is already in the process of becoming Portugal's first green electricity provider. And it's all powered by the people, in a fully democratic manner!
