Viure Air Cel project involves the installation of a wind turbine of 2.7 MW jointly held by citizens who voluntarily supply the money needed to realize the project. In order to do this, in early 2010 Eolpop SL was constituted, which will be responsible for the promotion and realization of the project and responsible for issuing participatory accounts do wind turbine shared ownership possible. Since the summer of 2014 Som Energia has joined the project to finance 50% of it with kWh Generation system. The place chosen for its location is within the municipality of Pujalt (Anoia in the province of Barcelona), for the good wind conditions, access and connection to the medium voltage network. The turbine is the ECO-122 model of Alstom, a wind machine specially designed for low wind areas.

SOM ENERGIA

Som Energia (we are energy) is a Spanish renewable energy cooperative. It was founded by 150 citizens in 2010 in Catalonia and in three and a half years the number of members grew exponentially to 14.423, spread throughout Spain, and with a growing rate of almost 150 new members each week in 2013. As a non-profit cooperative Som Energia started selling Green energy from existing sources in October 2011. Meanwhile they are developing their own cost-effective renewable energy projects to produce energy for their members. They have already invested 3.572.100 euros from their associates in several photovoltaic plants, in one biogas power plant and in a biomass project (thermal use).
